the carters’ entire apeshit video is a HUUUGGEE testament to black excellence!!! the carters juxtapose symbols of blackness, black love, and black culture against symbols of whiteness in a white establishment, the fucking louvre, which is notoriously known for praising white eurocentrism as the norm and standard for beauty and excellence. they are publicly denouncing white standards of success and greatness by embracing their blackness and letting the world know that black people are beautiful and great too. bey and jay are out here repping blackness and are showing the world that black people are excellent, black culture stay winning, and that black lives matter.
